Our lawful bases for the collection and use of your data

Our lawful bases for collecting or using personal information to provide and improve services for clients are:

  • Consent – we have permission from you after we give you all the relevant information. All your data protection rights may apply, except the right to object. To be clear, you do have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Contract – we have to collect or use the information so we can enter into or carry out a contract with you. All your data protection rights may apply except the right to object.

Where we get personal information from

  • Most information is provided directly from you by filling in online forms or by corresponding with us by post, phone, email or otherwise
  • From the website when you enquire about our services
  • In some cases, and with your consent, information might be provided by third parties including but not limited to Legal Advisers, Financial Advisers, Accountants, Psychotherapists
  • Automated technologies or interactions, as you interact with our website. We require such third parties to use the personal information we transfer to them only for the purpose for which it was transferred and not to retain it for longer than is required for fulfilling the said purpose. How long we keep information

We keep your personal information only as long as necessary:

  • For initial enquiries we keep information for 3 months in case you subsequently instruct us within that period and to avoid duplicating work.
  • For clients who formally instruct us we keep information for the duration of your case and for 6 years after closure (to comply with legal and professional obligations).
  • Special category data is kept only as long as required.
